Appeals Policy

What can be appealed

• Debate verdicts. If you believe the AI judge got your match wrong, appeal from the results page of that debate. One appeal per match.
• Bans and account suspensions. Appeal via the contact page. Include your username and why you believe the action was wrong.
• Automated moderation strikes. Strikes expire with the debate, but if a strike led to a forfeit or ban you believe was a false positive, appeal the resulting ban via the contact page.

Who reviews appeals

A human administrator reviews every appeal. The automated system that took the original action never decides its own appeal. Reviewers see the debate transcript, moderation events, and your appeal text.

Timelines and outcomes

We target a decision within 7 days. Possible outcomes: the action is upheld, reversed (verdict overturned, ban lifted, account reinstated), or reduced. Decisions are recorded with reviewer notes in an internal audit trail.

Limits

• One appeal per action. Repeat appeals of the same decision are declined.
• Appeals that contain new rule violations (abuse, threats) are declined and may result in further enforcement.
• Zero-tolerance removals (child safety, credible threats) are reviewed for factual error only.
