Cookie Policy

Debategle uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries. We do not use third-party advertising cookies unless you explicitly opt in via the cookie banner, and none are active today.

Strictly necessary (always on)

• Clerk session cookie: keeps you signed in. Removing it signs you out.
• cookie_consent_v2 (localStorage): remembers your cookie choices.
• Onboarding state (sessionStorage): carries your answers between onboarding steps; cleared when the tab closes.

Analytics (opt-in)

With your consent, we may record first-party, aggregated usage telemetry (sessions per day, coarse geography, device class) to improve the product. This uses our own infrastructure; no data is sold or shared with ad networks, and no analytics cookie is set unless you opt in.

Advertising (opt-in, not active)

If contextual or personalized ads are introduced, personalized ad cookies will only be set after you opt in via the cookie banner. Contextual ads based on the page content alone do not require ad cookies.

Managing your choices

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer at any time to review or change your choices. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings; clearing the Clerk cookie signs you out.
